For users that have already ordered through the Geospan platform and would like to import that data into Xactimate.
Navigate to the Order Summary Page
- From the Customer Home Page, navigate to the Orders
- Select the underlined Order ID number of the order you would like to export.
You have successfully opened an Order Summary Page if you view a page similar to the following:
Download an ESX file of your order
In the upper right-hand corner, select Download as… > ESX to download your order as an ESX file.
Note: Currently, Geospan only allows you to download ESX files at the Order level. You cannot download an ESX for an individual job/model from your order.
Import ESX into Xactimate
Xactimate Online
Select + New project and switch to the Import tab. Upload the ESX file you just downloaded and select Import. Xactimate will notify you in a few minutes once the Geospan data is finished uploading into a new project.
Xactimate Desktop (X1)
- Navigate to the Tools tab on the lefthand sidebar.
- Under Data Transfer, toggle the Import button.
- Select the Folder Icon and select the folder/location on your computer that contains your ESX file. Select OK.
- Select Select Data > the file you want to import > Import. A project will automatically be created, and Xactimate will notify you in a few minutes once the Geospan data is finished uploading.
